Role Overview:
Capgemini is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a focus on Verification and Validation (V&V) Automation Testing. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about software testing and automation. As an SDET, you will contribute to the quality and reliability of our software systems by developing and executing automated tests to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Automation Development

- Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
- Integrate test scripts with CI/CD pipelines for seamless automation.

- Implement V&V methodologies to confirm that software meets defined requirements.
- Conduct rigorous testing to validate functional and non-functional requirements.

3. Test Planning and Execution

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project needs and design test strategies.
- Execute test cases, identify defects, and document issues comprehensively.

- Track software defects and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve identified issues efficiently.

Required Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or Appium.
- Basic knowledge of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of APIs and experience with tools like Postman for API testing.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL for validating test data.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git.

Educational Qualifications
B.Sc. in IT/CS or BCA.
